Established in 1992 by Marvin Myhre as a consulting and independent technology laboratory CRTDL has conducted significant research on rubber compound formulation and product development. Consulting research focuses on mixing and vulcanization optimization for the development of:
Chlorosulfonated polyethylene (Hypalon)
Ethylene-propylene-diene termonomer (EPDM)
Nitrile-Butadiene rubber (NBR)
Hydrogenated Nitrile Butadiene Rubber (HNBR)
Styrene-Butadiene Rubber (SBR)
Natural Rubber (NR)
Molded rubber goods, extrusion & roll cover compounds
CRTDL has also developed proprietary processes for de-vulcanization and for the re-use of scrap rubber.
CRTDL is supported by associates with broad experience in the rubber industry. Duncan A. MacKillop MBA of Duncan A. MacKillop and Associates, is a professional engineer & consultant with 45 years of experience with Polysar Ltd.& Dunlop Ltd. He has developed patented rubber medical products, and is extensively involved in technology transfer and litigation support.
Privately owned and not affiliated with any corporation, CRTDL works closely and confidentially with our clients to define their goals and objectives at a reasonable cost.
Marvin was educated as a chemist majoring on Organic chemistry. He worked for 27 years as a research chemist with Dunlop Research Centre, Sheridan Park Research Community, Mississauga, 2 ½ years of which were in the rubber roofing division as their Sr. Chemist, and 3 years as the technical and R & D manager for CVL Products Ltd. of St Catharines, a custom molder/mixing company focusing on rubber roll covers and bridge and structural bearings. In 1992 Marvin established his own research and development consulting firm and laboratory.

Marvin has been involved in organizing Educational Seminars for the rubber industry for the Canadian Society for Chemistry Rubber chemistry division for the past 12-15 years. He is also involved in organizing recycling symposia and presented papers.
